The Theater of the Oppressed Group of Maputo (GTO-Maputo), during their celebration of 15 years of Theater of the Oppressed in Mozambique, is organizing two simultaneous events, the VIII International Festival of Theater of the Oppressed and the Enlance-D event – Gathering & Communication and Education’s Lab for Development. This combined event celebrates the use of participatory theater as a tool for social change and development and has a slogan – Dare to Create a World of Freedom. It takes place from 13th to 17th July 2016, in Maputo.

From Mozambique we expect the participation of 14 different groups that are coming from all over the country. At an international level we hope to host many remarkable TO groups and practitioners.

We are currently working on the program that we will share with you a.s.a.p. We will have many performances, workshops, discussion and debates, formal and informal moments of sharing. This festival is going to be a truly moment of solidarity between people and nations!
